Founded in January 2012, l’Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal brings together some twenty musicians dedicated to the vast repertoire of jazz orchestral music. It is Montreal-based in its organization, pan-Canadian in its vocation, international in its scope.  One of Canada’s most compelling composers, Christine Jensen was commissioned by the ONJ to compose a suite for jazz orchestra. In Under the Influence Suite, she combines the silken voice of Sienna Dahlen with the ONJ’s vast range of sound to pay tribute to composers whose works and musical character have helped forge her personality as a musician, composer and conductor.
